Position Specific Summary: The assistant preparator for the Legacies of Iowa Collections Sharing Project will work with the curatorial coordinator for the legacies project, and the UIMA lead preparator to coordinate, pack, frame and transport art exhibitions across the state. Begun after the 2008 flood with exhibitions at the Figge Art Museum, Luce Gallery/Cornell College, Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, and the Gallery at University of Northern Iowa, the Legacies project provides UIMA exhibitions and collections to museums and galleries across the state of Iowa free of charge. This position is a one-year specified term appointment.
