Summary of Duties:
The successful applicant will work in support of the exhibitions department with regards to the seasonal exhibition schedule as well as the daily operations of the Wexner Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervising details of gallery installations, including safe handling and mounting of artworks, fabrication of specified exhibition displays as needed, lighting design, and supervision of temporary employees; working closely with Installation Manager and senior staff members such as curators and the Director as well as various artists and guest designers to insure the best conditions for a successful exhibition installation.
Additional Information for Applicants::
The chosen candidate will be required to occasionally work long hours including evenings, weekends and possible holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in fine arts or equivalent combination of education and experience; extensive experience handling artwork in a museum or contemporary art setting; demonstrated experience in managing (from start to finish) complex projects; carpentry, construction, fabrication skills; proficiency in verbal and written communications.
Desired Qualifications:
Functional knowledge of computer assisted design software such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD or 3D Studio Max; previous supervisory experience; in-depth knowledge of contemporary art.
Target Salary: $32,000 - $38,000 Annually
