SALARY RANGE: $16.45 - $28.72
Required:
Minimum two (2) years college education including formal courses in Studio Arts and/or equivalent experience.
Expderience/familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop.
General wood working and metal working skills.
Experience operating laser engraving equipment, 3D printers and CNC routers including the software used to operate CNC equipment
Preferred:
Degree in Studio Arts or Design
Expertise in design software beyond AI and Photo Shop
Advanced woodworking and metal working skills
Understanding of the the creative process and the ability to work with artists.
Strong knowledge of materials used in the Art making process
Ability to communicate processes, procedures, and safety protocols clearly.
About the Job
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, as well as familiarity with troubleshooting issues in creating art across disciplines.
This position will oversee daily operations at the Department of Art’s XYZ Lab. The position is 35-40 hours per week. Duties include:
Equipment operation and maintenance schedules.
Maintain inventory records and scheduling of tools and equipment.
Assist and provide technical support to staff and students with issues relating to 3D print manufacturing.
Implement lab safety standards.
