The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco is seeking an experienced preparator with strong skills in audiovisual (AV) and new media to play a key role in the implementation of exhibition multimedia as well as in a dynamic contemporary art program.
As a vital member of the Preparation team, the Preparator, Multimedia Specialist will research, design, and install equipment solutions for AV and new media based artworks and interpretative components for exhibitions and permanent galleries. Working closely with a variety of museum staff as well as artists and designers, the incumbent will be expected to stay abreast of technological advances in new media and the AV industry, and experiment with new concepts, materials, equipment, and techniques that enhance the aesthetic display of AV artworks.
