"It's knowing that your expertise is protecting a collection enjoyed by millions
It's protecting heritage by leaving your own legacy. And it's the satisfaction of caring for and presenting one of the world's largest art collections. This is what makes working for the Royal Household so different.
In terms of both quality and diversity, The Royal Collection is breath-taking and many of its objects are in regular use.
Joining our talented collections care team, your challenge will be to help look after this unique collection , supporting current operations but also preserving it for the future.
With thoughtful control of surroundings, you'll identify and reduce potential damage to a wide range of items. You'll monitor environmental conditions such as temperature and light exposure, and co-ordinate current conservation works.
You'll also check the storage of items, develop effective salvage plans, and undertake emergency repairs, ensuring the very best practice in preventive conservation.
It's a working palace, and so you'll collaborate with colleagues from across the Household to raise awareness and deliver training so that the collection is handled, used and cleaned correctly for day-to-day use.
And supporting our varied events, building works and exhibitions, you'll help with collection management, overseeing and recording the movement of works of art."
