THE ROLE
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position is responsible for the highest possible level of service to Artex clientele, including the packing and handling of art work as well as loading and unloading of trucks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provides professional practices for object care, display, movement, and storage.
· Assist or complete required services as outlined by superior.
· Packs and handles artwork for transit or storage.
· Loads and unloads trucks.
· Provides friendly, quality professional service to clients at all times and develops close working relationships.
· Performs work safely in accordance with Artex procedures and operates equipment safely
· Maintains required paperwork
· Identifying and understanding potential and real workplace hazards for personnel or for inventory.
· Other duties as required.





QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1 – 3 years of art handling experience
· Understands basic aspects of art handling, packing and installation of artwork.
· Comfortable with basic math i.e. fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication.
· Working knowledge of power tools, i.e. drill, hammers and saws.
· The ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions.
· Detail oriented, self-motivated, with a keen sense of mission.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent skills in communicating effectively in oral and written form.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, bend, lift, and use hands. Movement may occur in warehouses and offices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision and ability to adjust focus.

Employee must be able to lift 75lbs unassisted and must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 300lbs with assistance of mechanical equipment. Noise level is usually moderate.
