Exhibition’s Conception and Development
Conceive and develop exhibitions.
Develop and manage long term working exhibition calendar.
Hire and work with guest curators, creative specialists and scholars.
Manage exhibition consultants, vendors, interns, researchers and staff curators.
Meet with artists and conduct studio visits
Oversee research for exhibitions and special projects
Oversee exhibition design and production
Edit/Write exhibition text
Review exhibition proposals
Exhibition’s Design and Production
Oversee planning, managing and staging of installations.
Work with creative team to develop exhibition design, layout and collateral.
Manage exhibition consultants, vendors, and interns
Create and maintain budgets related to exhibitions and specific projects
Develop strategic planning for exhibitions content development and awareness.
Exhibition’s Public Relations
Oversee development of content for website and other applications (social networking, etc.).
Helps develop revenue generating opportunities related to exhibition content.
Oversee public image of exhibitions and exhibition development.
Coordinate with Museum Store for exhibition-related materials.
Contribute to the creation of exhibition press releases.
Develop and maintain relationships with galleries, museums, and schools.
Maintain awareness of current art and culture for exhibition leads.
Help develop exhibition-related events and programmin
Collections Department
Manage exhibition-related loan agreements and rights.
Maintain record of exhibitions for archive.
Identify appropriate items for accession into the collection.
Manage safety and maintenance of artifacts and exhibitions.
RequirementsSpecial Experience, Qualifications and other comments:
Excellent verbal, organizational and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in a small, entrepreneurial environment with multiple divisions.
Small business startup experiences a plus
Superior customer service skills.
Creative thinker.
Museum experience a plus.
