Atthowe Fine Art Services is searching for an experienced Project Manager to join our company. Atthowe is a nationally and internationally recognized Fine Art storage, transportation, and installation worker-owned company based in Oakland, CA.
Title: Project Manager
Pay range: Commensurate with experience.
Benefits package includes medical insurance, PTO account, paid holidays, and 401K program.
Full time M-F
Primary responsibilities:
* Supervise large specialized jobs from beginning to end
* Handle client (and other stake-holder) communications, including estimate, scheduling, billing, and follow-up
* Understand and fulfill the needs of each job, including plan reviews, permit submittals, sub-contractor involvement, fabrication, and logistics
* Basic understanding of project management software
* Communicate and coordinate with co-workers to schedule and share resources
* Track labor and costs in detail against estimate/budget, request change orders when necessary and prepare final report of each project with budget vs actual
* Understand and oversee liability and risk management issues
* Produce and maintain both internal and external paperwork required for projects, including bills-of-lading, safety compliance forms, time-keeping, etc.
* Understand and prioritize the importance of information transfer between company departments, especially in regards to gathering and documenting useful and accurate registration information
* Ensure a safe work environment for crews
* Complete and maintain safety certificates for: fall protection, scaffolding
* Understand and comply with PPE (personal safety equipment) requirements
Qualifications:
* At least 4 years of art installation based management and/or construction management experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Able to work as a part of a team and contribute to cooperative problem solving
* Able to follow detailed instructions and strict protocols
* Able to work flexible schedule as needed, and travel overnight and long distances
* Exposed to outside weather conditions on a frequent basis
* Complete and pass STA (Security Threat Assessment) application and verification
* Possess a valid California driver's license and a clean driving record at the time of, and the duration of employment
* Able to perform physical demands as stated in job description
