Safe Art Storage & Transport (SAT) is a Fine Art Service company based in Long Island City, NY. We provide transportation, packing/crating, storage & other specialized services for museums, galleries, art fairs & collectors locally and within the tri-state area. We are looking to recruit bright, creative and qualified Drivers / Art Handlers to join our crew.
Applicant must:
+ Have a valid driver's license (CDL not mandatory, but a plus);
+ Have a clean driving record;
+ Be highly motivated, punctual and responsible;
+ Show initiative, organization and attention to detail;
+ Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;
+ Be in good physical health (heavy lifting to be expected);
+ Have a sense of humor.
In addition to the above criteria, strong candidates should have some of the following work experience:
+ Residential or commercial moving
+ Packing fine art or high-value objects
+ Basic carpentry skills
+ Installation of fine art or high-value objects
This is a full-time position. Hours are generally 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Although rare overnight trips, weekend work, and after-hours overtime will occur from time to time.
After 90 days employees are eligible for health & dental insurance, personal days, holidays, and paid vacations.
Salary commensurate with experience.
