Conservation Technicians - Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture
The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture is seeking to recruit a team of Conservation Technicians, on a contractual basis, for a period of one year.
The incumbents will work under the supervision of staff Conservators and they will perform a variety of duties related to the care and preservation of collection objects. Tasks performed shall include examining objects and preparing condition assessment reports and treatment prioritizations, cleaning objects, performing minor treatments and preparing objects for storage utilizing a variety of standard and custom housing techniques.
