Cadogan Tate Fine Art New York currently has two vacancies for skilled Fine Art & Antiques Packer / Shipping Associates to work out of our Long Island City location in Queens. One position will be filled for evening and night shifts. You would be a key member in a professional and experienced team. We are seeking exceedingly well organized and flexible people who enjoy an active and friendly warehouse environment.
These positions perform a broad scope of duties to help execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities of Warehouse Management. The ideal candidate(s) will be experienced in packing, crating and preparing fine art and antiques for shipments locally, cross country, and internationally, and will have the ability to prepare all goods for shipping and transportation in line with our standard packing and shipping guidelines. The ability to work independently and manage time frames well is a must for this position. The packing/shipping positions demand each employee to interact with staff and clientele of all levels in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, with a high level of professionalism.
Required skills:
- 2+ years of experience within the industry
- Experience and understanding of best practices on how to handle fine arts and antiques
- Knowledge and previous use of various packing materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet daily deadlines
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
