Job Description
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center, an innovative visual and performing arts complex focusing on contemporary art, is seeking a full-time preparator who will work collaboratively to execute the installation of exhibitions. Duties include the preparation of works of art for display, installation of two and three dimensional works of art, fabrication of exhibition elements, mounting and framing, and assisting with the packing and the movement of art.
Job Requirements
Qualified candidates must have a BA or BFA in fine art, art history, museum studies, or related field and a minimum of 2-3 years experience handling and installing works of art, preferably in a museum setting. Carpentry skills are required. Heavy lifting, climbing, and strenuous physical activities are essential functions of the job.
