POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Registrar Assistant for Collections
(Part-time)

Duties and Responsibilities
The Registrar Assistant for Collections will assist in organizing and implementing the Morgan Library & Museum’s out-going loan program including, date entry of loan requests, creation of loan agreements, approving transport arrangements for out-going loans and maintaining budget information for billing. Will also create receipts for new acquisitions, correspond with galleries and books sellers and complete condition reports for new acquisitions. This position reports to the Manager of Exhibitions and Registrar.

Qualifications
• M.A. in art history, fine arts, liberal arts, or museum studies preferred
• A minimum of one year experience in a museum setting
• Knowledge of fine arts transportation processes and procedures
• Knowledge of fine art packing processes and procedures
• Extensive skill with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Access.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines
• Flexibility and the ability to work with a diverse staff, private lenders, and staff of other institutions
• Working knowledge of one European language desirable
