CCAHA specializes in the treatment of works of art and artifacts on paper, such as drawings, prints, maps, posters, historic wallpaper, photographs, rare books, scrapbooks, and manuscripts, as well as related materials such as parchment and papyrus. CCAHA also offers on-site consultation services, educational programs and seminars, internships, and emergency conservation services.
Housing Technician


We are seeking a full-time housing technician for constructing permanent enclosures, matting, and mounting original works of art and historic artifacts. This position will work closely with the conservation staff and the Manager of Housing & Framing in planning and designing mounts for storage and exhibition. A high degree of manual dexterity, creativity, and precision is necessary. The successful candidate must have prior experience in mat cutting and mounting works on paper. Experience working in a museum-type environment handling original art and artifacts is preferred. Successful candidates should have an art background. This is a permanent position with opportunities for advancement. Salary commensurate with experience.
