Atelier 4 Inc is a provider of fine-arts shipping and handling services, with over 30 years as an industry leader. We are seeking a safe & dedicated driver for NYC-based operations. The position works a combination of local shifts, regional, and over-the-road shuttle routes; employment is full-time. Job duties include; team-driving, wrapping & packing, loading & securing cargo, preparing paperwork, etc.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Two years truck driving, good MVR abstract.
- Ability to safely lift and handle at least 50 pounds as part of daily activities.
- Ability to work extended periods standing, bending, lifting, and/or driving.
- Minimum of high school degree or equivalent; minimum 21 years of age.
- Punctual & presentable, good communications skills, neat handwriting.
- Experience with art or specialized cargo is a plus (we also provide training).
Atelier 4 Inc provides a positive and safe work environment, with company health benefits available, and skills training available. All out-of-town trips include daily per-diem and lodging expenses covered by the company. Starting hourly rate of $20/hr (local) and $200/day (distance), based on experience and qualifications. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA. Employment subject to Transportation Security Administration STA approval.
