Must be able to unload and arrange for pickup of incoming and outgoingexhibits. Works as a team with the staff, as well as independently, to developart and historical exhibit concepts and objectives, exhibit design andlong-range planning. Installs changing art and history exhibits; performsneeded maintenance and modifications on all exhibits; prepares exhibit areaswith paint, temporary walls, and lighting. Installs technical interactiveexhibit features. Prepares cost estimates, draws up exhibit designs, selectsappropriate materials and fabricates in-house exhibits including crates,pedestals and walls. Oversees the shop area which includes inventorying andpurchasing supplies and maintaining the shop, tools and equipment. Coordinateswith Curators to schedule pick-up and delivery of incoming and outgoingexhibits; works with Registrar on condition reports; visually documentsexhibits. Prepares, coordinates and installs interior and exterior signage andgraphics.
